Our Services
Green IT
We believe the best definition of Green IT1 is “a collection of strategies and tactical initiatives which:

- directly reduces the carbon footprint of your computing operation;
- uses the services of IT to help reduce your organisation’s overall carbon footprint;
- encourages and supports greener behaviour by employees, customers and suppliers;
- ensures the sustainability of the resources used by IT”.
Using this definition it is easy to understand why we believe Green IT must be an essential part of your future business strategy. For example, we have wireless power monitoring equipment and sophisticated software that allows you to carry out a detailed analysis of your electricity usage – in most cases understanding your usage in greater detail allows you to make savings that typically range from 5-20% of your electricity bill.
Commercial Energy Assessment
Equally, we believe Commercial Energy Assessment is just as important since the way a building is insulated, heated and ventilated and the type of fuel used all contribute to its energy consumption and carbon emissions. By carrying out an energy survey on your property we will be able to offer recommendations on improving energy efficiency (and reducing carbon dioxide emissions) in the following areas:

- Heating & Cooling
- Ventilation
- Air conditioning
- Lighting
We specialise in supporting the increasing use of emerging micro-generation technologies such as:
- Solar thermal and photovoltaic panels
- Heat pumps
- Micro combined heat and power (MicroCHP) systems
In addition, there is no doubt that tougher legislation, for example the upcoming 2010 Building Regulations (Part L) or the EU’s Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), will place a bigger onus on the building owner or facilities manager to install and maintain more efficient building services.
We strongly believe that almost every business could benefit by more effective use of either (or both) of the above strategies.
